Notifications
Get told when an agent replies, on whichever device you have with you, and only there.
You don't have to watch your agents work. supermux tells you when one of them has something for you.
What notifies you
- An agent replies: it finished a turn and wrote back. The notification shows the session's name and the start of the reply.
- An agent hits an error.
Tap a notification to open that chat.
What doesn't
- A session you've muted. Mute one from its row's menu (Mute), or type
/mutein its chat. - A chat you're looking at. If you have the chat or the session list open on any of your devices, none of them buzz. You're one person, so supermux treats your devices as one.
- Helpers and council members started by your agents. You hear about them through the agent that started them. See Orchestration.
On each device
| Device | How it works |
|---|---|
| iPhone, iPad | Push notifications, grouped per session. They also show on your Apple Watch. |
| Android | Push notifications in the Sessions channel. On Android 13 and later, allow notifications when the app asks. |
| Desktop app | A system notification while the app is running. Several replies in a row from the same session become one. |
| Browser | Web push, after you choose Enable notifications for agent replies. |
Notifications to phones go through supermux's push service and Apple's or Google's. The content is encrypted end to end: only your phone can read it.
Turn them off
There's no notifications page in the settings. Mute the sessions you don't want to hear from, or turn notifications off for supermux in your phone's or computer's settings.
